Baroque Explorations is an international project dedicated to baroque
music and art, it was estabilished in 2011.

The main idea of the Festival is to spread beauty and knowledge
on Baroque music among wider audiences, strengthening
international artistic cooperation and development of competence
of the artists.
The project was created as a grassroot initiative of people
passionate for Baroque music and art in a minor town of Szczawnica.
The project grew and became a large, international and
interdyscyplinary initiative.
The main organizer of the festival Szczawnica Chamber Choir
association cooperate with great musicians from Central Europe and
every year organize variety events like concerts, recitals, operas and
oryginal educating activities for children not only in Szczawnica but also
in other places of the Malopolska Region end even abroad.
Support from the international institutions allows us to organize
many interesting oratorio enterprises and to show for Polish publicity
unique baroque operas like: “Armida” by G.Scarlatti, “Costanza e fortezza”
by Johann Joseph Fux, “Terpsichore” by Haendel, “Muzio Scevola”
by Amadei, Bononcini, Haendel, performed by our artistic Czech partner
- Musica Florea .

international vocal-instrumental ensemble: Baroque Collegium 1685,
which consists of the Szczawnica Chamber Choir and Musica Florea,
and invites renowned baroque musicians to joint artistic projects.
A special quest of 2018 edition was an authority on Renaissance
and Baroque music – baritone Peter Kooij.
The director and coordinator of Baroque Exploration is Polish musicologist
